Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Team Members/Baristas to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing delicious coffee, other beverages, and food prep. If you have a passion for coffee and enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks

- Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries

- Take customer orders and process payments using cash register and POS system

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area

- Properly handle and maintain all equipment

- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation

- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns

- Assist with stocking supplies and inventory management

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

Skills:

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere

- Proficient in operating cash registers and POS systems

- Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling

- Experience with a POS system is a plus

- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating order totals

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues

- Strong attention to detail for preparing beverages according to recipes

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school degree or actively enrolled in high school or equivalent
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn barista and food handling skills
• Strong customer service focus
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to follow directions
• Good communication skills with a desire to grow in that area
• Willingness to learn cash handling and accounting procedures
• Willingness to learn from manager and supervisors.
• Must pass background check and drug test

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
